ABOUT
Alison Gilmour
Profession: Clinical Prescribing Pharmacist BSc (Hons) MRPharmS PIP
GPhC registration: 2050969

I graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 1999 with an honours degree in Pharmacy and have a postgraduate qualification in Independent Prescribing.

After a long and varied career within community pharmacy, I now work as a senior prescribing advisor for GP practices in the Glasgow area.

I have been practicing aesthetics since 2020, having completed foundation and advanced training with FAC Glasgow, a CPD accredited and industry leading medics only trainer.
Patient safety and achieving natural results are at the forefront of my practice. I have undertaken complications management training and I regularly invest in ongoing learning to build on my skills, improve my knowledge of techniques and keep up to date with the latest non-surgical procedures and treatments.

At your initial appointment, I will carry out a full consultation, giving you the opportunity to ask any questions and to address any concerns.
It's important to me that my patients feel completely at ease and have built trust in me before we undertake any procedures, so you will always be given as much time as you need to consider your options and explore these further.
Kintsugi Medical Aesthetics is now based solely within The Essence Spa on Canal Street in Renfrew.
The Essence is ideally situated to offer a range of aesthetic treatments and skincare solutions in Renfrew and surrounding areas of Renfrewshire including Paisley, Erskine, Houston, Kilmacolm and Kilbarchan.

The opening of the new Yoker to Renfrew bridge in May 2025 ensures the clinic remains easily accessible to patients previously treated in the Whiteinch clinic and surrounding areas of Whiteinch, Jordanhill, Partick, Clydebank and further afield.
